Kia will invest $ 100 million plant in Georgia

Kia plant in West Point, Georgia was inaugurated barely a year and a half but due to high sales of the Hyundai brand in the American union plans to invest 100 million dollars to expand production.

Kia to increase investment in the current production from 300,000 to 360,000 units by early 2012. With this extension is to make the Kia Optima sedan later this year and also increase print capacity, welding, painting and assembly in general.

Currently, the Sorento and Hyundai Santa Fe is built on the West Point plant. The Kia Sorento is the best-selling car brand in the U.S. Korean while the Optima tripled its sales last month compared with the same period of 2010.
